Unlike conventional thirteen-pin sockets for mounting on a substrate (e.g., the sheet metal of a tow bar), this cable socket is designed for mounting on the free end of the cable without the need for a substrate. This makes it suitable for the production of various extension cables and reducers. High-quality nickel-plated pins and tough plastic ensure a good connection and a long service life of the socket. The cap with sealing ring and spring protects the contacts from contamination. The practical metal eyelet at the hinge of the lid serves well for hanging the drawer.
The individual socket contacts are numbered, the wires are connected by pulling them under the screw. No special tools are required for connection.
