- The Winterhoff WS 3000 stabilizer manufactured until 07/2002 has one fixed friction segment and one replaceable one. The fixed friction segment is not replaceable and is not supplied by Winterhoff as a spare part. Only one (exchangeable) friction segment can be replaced. The rigid friction segment is designed to last the life of the stabilizer and once it wears out, the only qualified repair that does not compromise the safety of operation is to replace the complete stabilizer. The new Winterhoff WS 3000 stabilizer already has both friction segments replaceable.
