Winterhoff WW 8-Y towbar, 800 kg, on V-drawbar

Winterhoff WW 8 - Y ball coupling for unbraked trailers (e.g. VAPP ECO) with V-drawbar also serves for a fixed connection of the drawbar in the front part. Compared to conventional drawbar couplings up to 800 kg for tubular or steel drawbars, it is made of stronger material to withstand higher stresses as a fixed link between the right and left part of the drawbar. To increase the strength of the connection between the two drawbar arms, a total of 6 holes for M12 screws are available. Bolts and nuts are not included. The towing coupler includes a simple plastic holder for removing the lighting plug when unhooking the trailer. The holder is suitable for both 7 and 13 pole plugs. However, some 7-pin plugs with larger fittings cannot be inserted into the holder. The plug holder can be easily removed and the coupling can be operated without it.

The pulling clutch is self-adjusting during its service life. An indicator on the side of the clutch provides information on the wear rate of the towing clutch or the towing ball. The operating handle is fitted with a push lock and a hole for inserting a WW 8 lock (lock not included - you can find it in the recommended products below).

To maintain the long service life and reliable functionality of the coupling, we recommend regular lubrication of the pins and moving parts with thinner oil, regular cleaning of the coupling seating surfaces and the coupling ball from grease mixed with dust and dirt and regular lubrication with unpolluted grease.
