The AL-KO AK 351 towbar from the AL-KO Premium Profi product line replaces the now discontinued AL-KO AK 350 towbar. The AL-KO AK 351 towbar is designed for mounting on an overrun brake pipe with a diameter of 60 mm (e.g. AL-KO 2.8VB, Profi V 3500 and others). In case of mounting on a smaller diameter pipe, it is necessary to use reducing inserts. The coupling is designed for overrun brakes AL-KO with two M16 screws mounted horizontally at a distance of 54 mm. However, it can also be fitted to other brakes with the same mount.

• The delivery includes a separate towbar including a correct connection indicator and a wear indicator, AL-KO Soft Dock - rubber protection for the front edge of the coupling, mounting screws with self-locking nuts and an integrated lock with two keys and a security ball insert.
• The pulling coupling is equipped with a shaft for mounting an integrated lock. The shaft is covered with a plastic plug, after removing it the lock can be easily installed. The lock is not included.
• The pulling coupling can also be ordered with Soft Dock and mounting bolts only - Order No. 60025 or in a set with Soft Dock, mounting bolts and reducing inserts for mounting on a 50 mm diameter pipe Order No. 100386.

NOTICE:

The wear rate indicator on the drag link indicates wear on the ball joint, not just wear on the drag link itself. If the pointer is pointing to the red box marked with a "-" sign, this indicates one of the following possibilities:

• There's excessive wear on the towing clutch. The ball stud does not show excessive wear or irregular wear after inspection with a feeler gauge or caliper. The solution is to replace the towing clutch.
• The ball joint (ball) of the towing bracket is excessively worn. A pulling clutch connected to an unworn ball stud has a wear rate indicator line in the green box marked "+". A gauge to check the wear rate of the ball stud falls through the ball. The solution is to replace the ball stud of the towing bracket.
• Both the ball stud (ball) and the pulling clutch are worn. The pulling clutch, when connected to an unworn ball, has the wear rate indicator line in the red "-" box and the ball stud wear rate gauge falls through the ball. The solution is to replace both components. Even though the wear rate indicator may point to the green box after replacing only one component, such a connection is not safe.
• The drawbar clutch locking mechanism is incorrectly closed or damaged. This can be caused by insufficient lubrication of moving parts or damage to the locking mechanism. We recommend that you have it checked by a professional service centre.

To minimize wear and tear on the coupling and ball coupling, keep the ball coupling clean and lubricated. At regular intervals, clean the ball and the inside of the coupling of all dirt and grease residues and apply a fresh coat of unpolluted petroleum jelly. Dust and dirt that become trapped in the lubricating grease during operation contribute to faster wear (wear) of the ball and the coupling seat. Running the ball joint without lubricating grease or insufficiently lubricated also leads to very rapid wear.
