The ball coupling is suitable for use on trailers with a maximum gross weight not exceeding 3,000 kg. The maximum permissible vertical load on the towing bracket is 150 kg.

Construction:

The coupling is designed for direct mounting on 50 mm diameter towing tubes. It can also be mounted on smaller size towing tubes using the supplied demarcation washers:

• diameter 46 mm (using a 2 mm thick washer)
• diameter 45 mm (using a 2.5 mm thick washer)
• diameter 40 mm (using a 5 mm thick washer)
• diameter 35 mm (using washers 5 mm + 2.5 mm)

The drawbar coupling can be mounted with screws placed crosswise or lengthwise. In case of cross mounting of the screws, the spacing of the holes is 40 mm, for longitudinal ("side by side") mounting the spacing is 50 - 54 mm. In the case of mounting along, use the supplied M12x90 bolt with washers on both sides and self-locking nut in the front of the coupling and the M12x80 bolt with self-locking nut in the rear. In the case of mounting with cross bolts, use the supplied M12x90 bolt with washers on both sides and self locking nut for horizontal mounting and the supplied M12x80 bolt with saddle item* and self locking nut for vertical mounting. The supplied self-locking nuts can only be used once. They must be replaced with new ones when the towing clutch is reinstalled.
