LUCIDITY control box (13-pin, 7 functions), passive, 12V

• The passive control box Lucidity is used on trailers with complete LED lighting in cases where the electronics of older models of towing vehicles cannot turn on low-power LED lamps because they assume higher current consumption of classic light bulbs.
• It is usually mounted on the frame or trailer hitch so that the plug-fork on the cable (2.5 m) reaches comfortably into the socket of the towing vehicle.
• The existing trailer wiring is removed and plugged into the control box socket
• The control box simulates a car load as if conventional light bulbs were connected. The car's electronics then do not disconnect the trailer light circuits or show errors due to the low power consumption of the LED lighting
• Unlike active control boxes, the passive control box simulates the load permanently even when the LED world is dysfunctional. Any faults in the trailer LED lighting are not transmitted to the on-board trailer lighting control system. This is a disadvantage compared to active control boxes.
• On the other hand, the advantage of the passive solution is that it works without problems even with older car models where active control boxes or control boxes built into some lights fail.

• The control box is equipped with a thirteen-pin bayonet plug and socket (ISO11446)

The control box converts these functions:

- Left and right direction indicator light

- Left and right tail light

- Brake lights

- Fog light

- Reversing light
