The winch is equipped with an automatic brake and mounted on a trailer bracket. During winding, the manual winch spool is secured by an automatic anti-reverse latch. If the crank is turned in the opposite direction of winding, the rope can be lowered or moved, the latch is automatically released without the need for manual release.
