Brake cable KNOTT stainless steel 1030/1240 mm, M8 thread

• Original brake cable KNOTT with Teflon sliding insert, stainless steel cable and grease plugs for perfectly smooth operation with minimal resistance.
• Particularly suitable for use in harsh operating conditions and on boat trailers. It also shows very good durability on trailers with longer downtime between runs, where condensed air moisture can cause surface corrosion on standard ropes.
• WARNING: There are non-original imitations of these cable ducts KNOTT also in blue tubing on the market. These imitations have a different internal construction and do not have a stainless steel cable. Any defects in the brake system caused by the use of non-original imitation cables are excluded from the warranty.
• Suitable for axles KNOTT GB/VGB up to 1800 kg (e.g. GB8, GB10, GB13, GB15, GB18, VGB8, VGB10, VGB13, VGB15, VGB18) and wheel brake units KNOTT 16-1365 (160x35), 16-1369/1 (160x35), 20-2425/1 (200x50), 20-2426/1 (200x50), 20-4320 (200x35), 20.32-1647 (203.2x40), 25-2025 (250x40), 25-2026 (250x40).
• The rope termination with M8 thread on the side for fitting into the rope hoists allows the rope to be used also for the more awful types of rope hoists without a cross-section for quick-fit ropes. The thread also allows precise adjustment of the rocker arms in cases where only one rope is changed and the old ropes have a slightly different length.
• The ropeway can also be used in combination with the new ropes with side cross-sections for quick-release ropes.
• For securing the rope in the rocker, it is necessary to use a ball nut M8 Order No. 15021 secured with a self-locking counter nut M8 Order No. 150023. Nuts are not part of the rope, they are ordered separately.
• On the side of the wheel unit there is a rope terminated with a stopper, which is used to insert the rope-rope coupling - spreader bar. The cable coupling - spacer is part of the wheel brake unit of each axle. It can also be ordered separately under order no. 90075.
• Note: In brake systems that have not been regularly maintained, in some cases the cable-brake coupling may appear to be pressed onto the cable - especially older cast iron couplings. This is caused by corrosion of the clutch at the plug hitch. The clutch can usually always be released and used. However, it lacks the original corrosion protection.
• The sleeve for mounting on the outlet of the wheel unit has an outer diameter of 22 mm and an inner diameter of 18.5 mm
• For two-axle trailers, KNOTT recommends the so-called asymmetrical cable connection, where the front axle is connected to one side of the tandem rocker arm and the rear axle is connected to the other side. This ensures better symmetry of braking of the remaining wheels in the event of one cable being pulled out in an accident, for example.
• Symmetrical wiring of the cable ducts, with both left wheel units connected to the left side of the tandem rocker and both right wheel brake units connected to the right side of the tandem rocker, is also acceptable and functionally similar to the asymmetrical wiring in normal operation.
