- Original AL-KO Profi Longlife brake cable for wheel brake units AL-KO 1636G, 1637, 2051 and 2361 (used on axles AL-KO e.g. B700-5, B850, B1200, B1600, B1800, BS 1500, BS1800).
- The rope termination with M8 thread on the side for mounting in the rocker arms allows precise adjustment of the rocker arms in cases where only one rope is changed and the old ropes have a slightly different length.
- For securing the rope in the rocker, it is necessary to use a ball nut M8 Order No. 15021 secured with a self-locking counter nut M8 Order No. 150023. Nuts are not part of the rope, they are ordered separately.
- On the side of the connection to the wheel brake unit, the cable is terminated with a plug for insertion into the cable coupling. The cable coupling - spacer is part of the wheel brake unit. It can also be ordered separately under order no. 70051.
- Note: In some cases, brake systems that have not been regularly maintained may appear to have the cable-brake coupling pressed onto the cable. This is caused by corrosion of the clutch at the plug hitch. The clutch can usually always be released and used. However, it lacks the original corrosion protection.
- The socket for mounting on the outlet of the wheel unit has an inner diameter of 23 mm.
- WARNING: Non-original imitations of AL-KO Profi Longlife cable ducts are appearing on the market. These imitations have different internal construction and materials. In many cases, they try to imitate the appearance and names of the original AL-KO Profi Longlife cable lines. Any defects in the brake system caused by the use of non-original imitation cables are excluded from the warranty.
- The rope is coated with PA12 polyamide and placed in another PVC insert inside the braid. This results in a higher sliding capacity and up to 5% higher efficiency over the entire operating temperature range compared to standard design wire ropes.
- PA12 is extremely resistant to salt water and other substances and has a reduced tendency to form stress cracks. PA12 has the lowest water absorption among polyamides, making it very stable even in wet environments.
- The cable mouth is protected by a precisely fitting elastomer grommet, which effectively prevents water and dirt from entering the cable.
- Original AL-KO Profi Longlife cable lines excel in their long service life and are a guarantee of proper function, quick reactions and high efficiency of the brake system AL-KO.
- Thanks to their unique design in combination with appropriately selected materials and a consistently controlled production process, the original AL-KO Profi Longlife cable guides are clearly the best choice for trouble-free operation of brake systems AL-KO.
- For axles AL-KO with hexagonal axle box, we recommend using cable support brackets, part no. 110227, 110228 or 110229, to further extend the service life and reduce frictional resistance.
