• Original AL-KO Profi Longlife brake cable for wheel brake units AL-KO 1636G, 1637, 2051 and 2361 (used on axles AL-KO e.g. B700-5, B850, B1200, B1600, B1800, BS 1500, BS1800).
• On the side of the connection to the rocker, the rope is fitted with quick-assembly end with a so-called lens, which allows the rope to be quickly inserted into the original rocker arm AL-KO with a side cross-section without using tools.
• It is recommended to change the quick-connect ducts all at once. When replacing only one brake cable, it is preferable to use a threaded cable (also available in our range), where the length of the remaining older cables can be precisely adjusted on the thread.
• On the side of the connection to the wheel brake unit, the cable is terminated with a plug for insertion into the cable coupling. The cable coupling - spacer is part of the wheel brake unit. It can also be ordered separately under order no. 70051.
• Note: In some cases, brake systems that have not been regularly maintained may appear to have the cable-brake coupling pressed onto the cable. This is caused by corrosion of the clutch at the plug hitch. The clutch can usually always be released and used. However, it lacks the original corrosion protection.
• The socket for mounting on the outlet of the wheel unit has inner diameter 23 mm.
• NOTICE: Non-original imitations of AL-KO Profi Longlife cable ducts are appearing on the market. These imitations have different internal construction and materials. In many cases, they try to imitate the appearance and names of the original AL-KO Profi Longlife cable lines. Any defects in the brake system caused by the use of non-original imitation cables are excluded from the warranty.
• The rope is coated with PA12 polyamide and placed in another PVC insert inside the braid. This results in a higher sliding capacity and up to 5% higher efficiency over the entire operating temperature range compared to standard design wire ropes.
• Material PA12 is extremely resistant to salt water and other substances and has a reduced tendency to form stress cracks. PA12 has the lowest water absorption among polyamides, making it very stable even in wet environments.
• The cable mouth is protected by a precisely fitting elastomer grommet, which effectively prevents water and dirt from entering the cable.
